Temple Portrait

Yesterday was a fun day. We had our Temple Portrait making class. There were tons of people, and not a whole lot of room. But, it somehow worked out. It was fun to eat, mingle, and make it. Now I just have to figure out where I am going to put it. (I know, I am not like most people who figure out where to put it FIRST, before they purchase an item.) Every one's Temple turned out really nice. I probably loved the portrait of Salt Lake the best, but Mt. Timp was where we got married, so I chose that one. So fun. If anyone who did not get to do this, and would like to, you can buy a kit, and I can come show you how to do it. Otherwise to have a party like this one, you need a min. of 15 people. The cost was only $50 bucks. If you have seen these in Deseret Book, you know that is a steal. The size is 26x 32.

The First Day of School!!!!!

1st grade happiness! I don't think Kami can contain herself. Eating lunch at school is the biggest thing she is excited for.

Derek, going into 2nd grade, and his sensitive eyes! Is is bright outside, and his eyes are watering up too much. (anyone know how to take a picture of a kid with sensitive eyes?) His day unfortunately did not start out too well. A mix of meds and weak stomach got to him, and he threw up on the bus on the way to school, and missed his first day. I am sorry if this ruined any fond memories your child should have experienced on their way to school. :)

Brooke is looking so old this year. 6th grade! Wow, where did the time go???? She is excited, but then found out she has to read 45 min a day. She says she loves her teacher. Next year, entering junior high!!! Yikes. Not so ready for that!!!!

The whole gang!

Derek's New room

It was really quite hard to take these pictures. His room is pretty small, and you cannot see much in one shot. Target bedding, rug and lamp!! (of coarse)

this picture looks a little foggy.

This little table is a DI find. A little paint and wa-la! Got the basket for him to put random stuff, books etc. Again, the best part, is a fresh new clean room for the start of school.
