My outdoor living space

Well, what do you think?? This love seat was white, and in Kami's room, really not getting used. When we finished laying the pavers I started looking around for outdoor furniture. If you know me at all, you know I am the world most impatient person. Knowing we really did not have the money, I was starting to get discouraged. But then the light bulb of creativity went off. I pained this love seat (thank you Sheia) and 2 side chairs and table (thank you Valerie) black. Then after looking around online for seating, I felt like I struck gold when I came upon these Target and cushions. Yea, I am so loving this. Now to finish it off, I am keeping my eyes pealed for a red or black little umbrella to put in the table. Hope to find an end of the year super deal.

Kami and Peyton

Kami and her friend Peyton. There is not a day that goes by, that Kami is not begging to play with her. Wanting to go there. Wanting to invite her here. She loves her so much. I am so glad they have each other. I remember growing up, having 1 or 2 really good friends and did things daily. It's nice they have that. Sometimes good friends are hard to come by.

Little Isaac

I don't know how Kami thought of this, or if she just saw Isaac sitting in this sled, but she decided for the next couple of hours (off and on) to pull Isaac in this sled back, and forth across the lawn. Isaac loved it, and when she would stop, and go jump or play, he'd climb out, only to climb back in and try to get it to move. So happy it was nice weather to enjoy the outdoors for a lot of the day.

What a difference a few days make

The kids are really trying to have fun outside. It is pouring, but they don't seem to care.

Now, a few days later. Its warm, sunny, and they are now happily jumping without the rain interfering.Summer is vastly approaching, and soon they will be jumping, in the heat begging for the rain to pour down on them. Can't we ever be happy and content?

Kami's Kindergarten graduation

Kami's awesome teacher Mrs. Bergera

Kami is growing up so fast. I do not know where the time goes. She is a happy, sweet, adorable little girl, that we love having in our family. She is always wanting to "play" with someone. Even if she has spent the day with one friend, the minute they leave it's "who can I play with now". She is very energetic, it's exhausting sometimes.
We love you Kami.

Crafter's Corner

This post is the perfect thing for those of you out there who thinks you could not do a craft to save you life. There is a place in American Fork called Crafter's Corner that lets you pick out a pre-cut wood/metal craft, and paint and decorate it there. Then you leave, and they clean up. They have every color of paint, and paper, and ribbon, and embellishments, so you are not running all over town buying this stuff. You pick a craft, ranging in price from a few dollars on up. Then you pay a $5 flat price for what you make that day. It can be 1 thing or 4. Does not matter. This was my first time there. I picked an item I can leave up all year long. My mom and sister picked a holiday themed item. Which I'd like to do next time. It was a lot of fun. Plan on a good amount of time. We got there after 4, and it closes at 6, so by the time we picked our project, we ran out of time, and had to finish them at home. Luckily I got to take the paper and embellishments with me. Here is the finished project. I wish I had taken pictures there, and of my mom and sis, and us laughing, but It is hard to carry my huge camera around. Next time perhaps.

Derek's First Grade Program

You can barely see him in this horrible blurry picture. The whole first grade did a play about being honest. He was a guard. He got to have a sword, and that made it way cool. I could not see a lot from where I was sitting, and had a hard time following the story, but it was cute, and pretty well done. The best part was it was only a half an hour. I think that is the right amount of time. Not too long, and not too short. Nice.
